Therapy for Anxiety, Trauma, Pain in Woodland Hills, CA.
I can help you feel at ease through the use of techniques that go beyond talk therapy, such as EMDR, Trauma Resiliency Model, and Yoga Nidra.
I became a therapist because therapy changed my life—but not in the way you might think.
In my early twenties, anxiety hit me hard. It didn't make sense. I was doing well in college, had supportive friends and family, had no obvious "reason" to feel the way I felt. But there I was: heart racing, stomach churning, mind spinning with worst-case scenarios.
I tried talk therapy. It helped me feel heard. It helped me understand patterns. But the anxiety itself? It stayed. The physical symptoms, the constant sense of dread—talking about them didn't make them go away.
Everything shifted when I found a therapist who understood the connection between the body and the mind. I learned that anxiety isn't just in your head—it's a nervous system state. And you can't think your way out of a nervous system state. You have to work with the body.
That realization changed everything for me. And it's what I bring to my work now.
I've spent years training in approaches that address both the mind and the body: EMDR, the Trauma Resiliency Model, mindfulness, and Yoga Nidra. I combine these with more traditional approaches like CBT to create something tailored to each person I work with.
My clients are often people who have "tried therapy before"—sometimes multiple times—and are looking for something different. If that's you, I get it. I was that person too.
